Welcome to BSD #124

Welcome to the Belton School District! Located just south of downtown Kansas City, we serve more than 4,300 pre-K through twelfth grade students.

The Belton School District #124 includes an early childhood center, four elementaries, one upper elementary, a middle school, high school and an educational center.

Our programs and services are broad-based and include childcare, Parents as Teachers, early childhood education (regular and special), in-district and out-district special education, gifted and talented education, vocational education, guidance, and career counseling and more. We operate a day treatment program at Scott Educational Center.

Several of our programs have been recognized at the national and state levels.

The District offers a broad range of co-curricular activities, including athletics, clubs, vocal and instrumental music, speech, debate, and more. Your child will enjoy the benefits of a safe, personalized education in a top-rated district fostering and accelerating a child's intellectual, physical, social, and career development.

The Academies of Belton Offer Extraordinary Experiences

Kansas City journalists are noticing Belton High School's innovation. Our academy model allows for real-world learning experiences for students like 2023 graduates William Dufflemeyer and Robert Ricketts. William and Robert planned, coded, 3D printed and made a prosthetic attachment for BHS teacher Zak Elgin, and a local news station featured their cutting edge invention.
