The Greater Kansas City School Counselor Association named Belton High School’s Rachel Hagelin the Secondary School Counselor of the Year.

Hagelin earned the award for her innovation, leadership, service to school community, program advocacy and data-informed practices in school counseling.

The association will recognize Hagelin at an appreciation breakfast on April 13.
