Dear Grace Families,
Once again, I want to welcome you and your child to our school family for the 2022-2023 school year! We are excited to see you at Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 18 from 4-6pm at Grace. This is a great time for you to meet your child’s teacher, explore the classroom and get any last minute questions answered. This is also an opportunity to turn in any documentation needed to complete your child’s file. We hope you can join us!
I want to take this opportunity to celebrate a new school year together with you! Each year we truly look forward to the goals the staff set for each child’s success, the learning targets we will help them achieve, and the positive relationships we will cultivate with them and each of you. I am incredibly proud of my staff at Grace Early Childhood who dedicate daily their heart and talent to ensure each student’s growth and success. Together with your continued and critical partnership, we look forward to celebrating the accomplishments we will help your child achieve this year at Grace Early Childhood!
Below are a few important reminders as we kick off our school year:
Grace Parent/Student Handbook:
Please take a moment to review the Grace Parent Handbook which includes a lot of important information. It will help answer many frequently asked questions we receive. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Breakfast & Lunch
Breakfast will be free to all students this year. We strongly encourage all families to apply for free/reduced benefits by filling out the form as additional benefits are provided based on lunch status.
If your child has recently been diagnosed with a food allergy or to verify the information you provided, please call our office at 816-489-7300. This information is critical in planning for your child’s health and safety.
Pick Up Procedures/Visitors
All visitors to our school are required to enter through the main entrance/lobby and must sign-in at the front office where we ask for a state photo ID. Visitors will also be provided a “visitor’s badge” to wear visibly while in the building. Please share these processes with those listed as authorized “pick-up” persons in SIS; only those listed will be allowed to pick up your child. This process is designed to provide your child a safe and secure learning environment. We know this process takes an extra moment, and we appreciate your support.
It is also essential the office has accurate, up-to-date contact, arrival/dismissal, and authorized/emergency pick-up information at all times. So that teachers and office staff can best ensure the safe, correct dismissal of each child, notify the office no later than 10:00 am for AM class and 2:00 pm for our PM class. of any dismissal change. These changes must be made in writing and can be sent through email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to a great year with students as they embark on their important journey of learning this year. Here’s to a wonderful 2022-23 school year!
