    On Nov. 6, Belton High School student Rachael Barry won first place in prepared public speaking at the FFA Area 7 Fall Speaking Contest. The event was judged by local professionals in the agriculture industry. Barry competed with the speech about soil and water management. She will travel to the University of Central Missouri next week for the FFA District Competition. This is Belton FFA's first student to win in the Public Speaking category.     Elijah Burton and Izak Bergschneider were delegates at the  1st general session of the Missouri State FFA Convention.  They discussed state FFA issues and voted which would go on to National FFA Convention in the fall of 2014 for final approval.
