Health Services

  • Belton School District Health Services wants to ensure all students are healthy and ready to learn!  Health Services provides screenings, referrals, administer medications and treatment, and basic first aid care.

Missouri State Law requires all children attending school and daycare programs within the district to be adequately immunized or have a written exemption from immunization on file.  Current lists of required immunizations by grade are available on this page.  If your child’s immunizations are not up-to-date or signed off as in progress or exempt by a physician by the first day of school, your child MAY NOT attend until his or her immunizations are compliant.

Health rooms do not stock any Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Tums, Midol, or cough drops. Students in grades 7-12 may carry their own cough drops. If students need to take medication during school, parents/guardians have to provide the medication in a small unopened bottle, and parents/guardians must bring it to school. Students are not allowed to carry medication on them or bring it to school.

COVID-19 Protocols

  • Updated December 29, 2021

If a student or staff member test positive for COVID-19 and are...
        • SYMPTOMATIC: Isolate at home for 5 days after symptom onset.
        • ASYMPTOMATIC: Isolate at home for 5 days from positive result.

Students/Staff can return to work/school after 5 days and wear a mask for 5 additional days. However, people should stay home as they would with any other type of communicable illness until symptoms are improving. Contact the school nurse if clarification is needed.

Notifications about positive cases will be sent to the affected classes.

Positive case numbers can be found on the District dashboard page of the website.

    Antigen Testing

Belton School District students and staff can be tested at a Belton School District site. Parental/Guardian consent is required for student testing; it can be found in the Parent Portal.

    Vaccinations

The District will continue to share vaccination clinic information as it is made available. Current vaccination options in Cass County
