LETTERING REQUIREMENTS
The following are guidelines for earning a varsity letter in track and field:
1. Be a good citizen.2. Abide by all the rules and requirements set by the MSHSAA and Belton High School.3. Compete at the varsity level at least 50% of the time.4. Complete all work assignments at home track meets.5. Turn in all uniforms - clean and laundered - by the requested date.6. Meet one of the following performance standards:- Earn 15 varsity team points. Duals or practice meets to NOT count.
- Medal at a major varsity meet.
- Meet one of the time standards below:

7. Athletes may earn a "provisional" letter if standards 1 to 5 are met, but not standard 6.8. The Pirate Track Coaching Staff will have the final say on letter winners.
