National Counseling Award

Kentucky Trail Elementary earned the national Recognized ASCA Model Program award (RAMP) from the American School Counselor Association.

The RAMP designation recognizes schools that fully implement a comprehensive, data-informed school counseling program that positively impacts all students' academic, social-emotional and career development.

“This year’s RAMP honorees have shown their commitment to students and the school counseling profession,” said Jill Cook, ASCA executive director. “These schools used data to drive their program development and implementation so all students can achieve success.”

Mrs. Carey Hughes is the school counselor at Kentucky Trail, and ASCA will recognize her at its annual conference in July.
