Mr. Christopher Kensinger Named Next Belton High School Principal

During its closed session, the Board of Education approved Mr. Christopher Kensinger as the next Belton High School Principal. Mr. Kensinger is following Mr. Torrence Allen, who was announced as the next Director of Finance and Support Services.

Mr. Kensinger has been in education for 13 years. He currently serves as Central High School assistant principal, where he created and led a freshman focus initiative to support student transitions from middle school to high school and ensure a successful freshman year. As assistant principal of the Study Alternative Center in the Springfield R-12 School District, he led the development and implementation of a new sophomore program in the district’s five high schools to ensure students graduated on time. He previously served as English language arts instructor in the Trenton R-IX School District, the Blue Eye R-V School District, the Branson R-IV School District and Springfield Public Schools.

“I am excited and honored for the opportunity to serve as the principal of Belton High School,” says Mr. Kensinger. “I look forward to joining the community and building on its tradition of excellence. I am eager to work alongside the dedicated staff, students and families to continue shaping a future where all students thrive. Go Pirates!”

Mr. Kensinger expects to earn his doctorate in educational leadership from Lindenwood University in 2025. He earned his specialist in educational leadership degree and his master’s degree from Lindenwood University. He has a bachelor’s degree from College of the Ozarks.
