Mr. Chad Rourk Named Next Mill Creek Assistant Principal

During its closed session, the Board of Education approved Mr. Chad Rourk as the next Mill Creek Upper Elementary School Assistant Principal. Mr. Rourk is following Mrs. Shelley Tiedeman, who was announced as the next Mill Creek Upper Elementary Principal.

Mr. Rourk has been in education for 11 years. He began his career teaching high school health and physical education at Seymour High School. He then served as athletic director and k-8 physical educator at St. Gerald Catholic School. He taught middle school physical education in Omaha Public Schools. Most recently he served as Nevada High School Assistant Principal.

Mr. Rourk says he is looking forward to building relationships with students, staff and the school community, as well as creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students. He says he will focus on supporting teachers in instructional growth and student engagement, and helping students develop academically and socially through leadership and mentorship. 

Mr. Rourk earned his two master’s degrees from Pittsburg State University and he has a bachelor’s degree from Pittsburg State University.
