The Belton High School Cyber Pirates earned big awards at the FIRST Tech Challenge CENTERSTAGE MOKS-KS KC-EAST League Tournament.

The Belton High School Cyber Pirates earned big awards at the FIRST Tech Challenge CENTERSTAGE MOKS-KS KC-EAST League Tournament.

Belton Cyber Pirates Team 13737 won the Control award for mastering robot intelligence by demonstrating innovative thinking to solve game challenges, such as autonomous operation, improving mechanical systems with intelligent control, and using sensors to achieve better results. Alan Dall, Sean Harris, Payten Cooper, Mario Madera, Wyatt McIntosh and Yared Cepeda make up Team 137137.

Belton Cyber Pirates Team 13399 won the Inspire award for embodying the challenge of the program, being ambassadors and role models. Team 13399 is the first Belton Cyber Pirate team to win this major award. Jace Rushing, Brookelyn Cary, Bayley Cary and Carlos Rios Garcia make up Team 13399.

Team 13399 advanced to the State Championship on March 2.
