Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year
Nikki Mackay earned the 2023 West Central District Adapted Physical Educator of the Year award and the Missouri State Adapted Physical Educator of the Year award from the Missouri Society for Health and Physical Educators (MOSHAPE).
Nikki Mackay earned the 2023 West Central District Adapted Physical Educator of the Year award and the Missouri State Adapted Physical Educator of the Year award from the Missouri Society for Health and Physical Educators (MOSHAPE).
Nikki is the district’s adapted physical education teacher and she works with our students who have special needs. She also works as a transition coordinator and as the district’s Special Olympics coordinator.
MOSHAPE selected Nikki as the state’s honoree because she exemplifies critical teacher leadership and behaviors. She is now eligible for the Central District Teacher of the Year award from SHAPE America, which is made up of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
