No Tax Rate Increase Bond 2026
The Belton School District #124 Board of Education unanimously approved placing a No Tax Rate Increase $58 million Bond on the April 7, 2026, ballot.
Bond 2026 will provide innovation for every student in every school through modern, well-maintained facilities in these 4 key projects:

Underutilized space at Yeokum Center of Innovation will be renovated and new spaces built to expand The Academies of Belton, the district career education program.

The demand for high quality early childhood education and care is increasing in Belton. The Belton School District plans to expand its existing, exceptional program, Grace Early Childhood Education and Care Center.

Existing essential systems throughout the district must be maintained or replaced, like plumbing, HVAC units, activity fields and rooftops.

"Shall Belton School District #124 of Cass County, Missouri borrow money in the amount of $58,000,000 for the purpose of (i) acquiring, constructing, renovating, expanding, improving, furnishing and equipping school facilities of the District for the purpose of expanding career and technical programs and activities for middle school and high school students; expanding learning experiences for elementary students through farm, technology, and arts programs; and expanded experiences with Junior ROTC, academic, activities and athletic programs; and (ii) completing other facility maintenance and improvement projects throughout the District, and issue bonds for the payment thereof?
"If this question is approved, the debt service levy of the District is estimated to remain unchanged at $1.0544 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation of real and personal property."

Long Range Facility Plan
This fall, the Long Range Facility Plan team completed a comprehensive assessment of district facilities to prioritize projects to ensure our facilities stay operational and continue to meet the needs of our academic programming.
