This winter will be Coach Brewer's 8th year of coaching high school wrestling and his first as the Head Coach for the Pirates. He previously coached at Park Hill High School where they finished 1st in the state. Prior to Park Hill Coach Brewer was at Oak Park for five years, during his tenure there, they had state finishes of; 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd. He has coached multiple state champions and two and four time state champions.

    Coach Brewer was a very decorated wrestler and is still well known for his accomplishments. Dustin went to Oak Park High School where he was a 3 time state champion and was also a national champion. He went on to wrestle at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. While at Simpson College Coach Brewer was a 3 time All-American.
                                               Coach Brewer is looking forward to developing this great program for years to come. 



    Coach Newman will start his fourth year coaching wrestling at Belton. Previously he coached the middle school for two years and high school for one year. Cody has been involved in wrestling, wrestling or coaching, since the age of four. Coach Newman is a graduate of Ray-Pec High School where he enjoyed an extremely successful wrestling career, medaling in all 4 years of high school; as a freshman he took fourth (145 lbs), sophmore he took third (160 lbs), junior he took third (171 lbs), and his senior year he was the 171 lbs state champion. He went on to attend University of St. Mary where he was an All-American baseball player and in 2012 was inducted into the University of St. Mary Athletics Hall of Fame.

    Coach Epstein in entering his first year on the Belton wrestling staff. Tyler was a very accomplished wrestler in high school attending Farmington Senior High School in Farmington Missouri. Finishing 4th at the state tournament as a junior and was a state champion as a senior. He was also named KTJJ Dream Team wrestler of the year as a senior. Tyler went on to play college football at University of Northern Iowa and graduated from Lindenwood University as a standout middle linebacker. Tyler is also a varsity coach for the Belton football and track teams.

    Coach Dahman will begin his fourth year coaching wrestling and his second year at Belton. Kyle brings a a lot of experience to the wrestling staff including his high school success at Ray-Pec, being a three time state medalist and an eight time youth state champion. Coach Dahman is a firm believer of what you put into something, you will get in return and is quoted saying, “Wrestling is a grinding sport, and will only help each wrestler build character and toughness.”



    Coach Cahill will begin his 3rd year coaching wrestling and his first at Belton. Kyle is a Lee Summit North graduate where he was a standout wrestler. Prior to Belton he was on the wrestling coaching staff at Oak Grove where they won a state championship last year.
    Kyle also coaches high school football and middle school track.

    Coach Parkhurst will begin his second year coaching middle school wrestling and his first year at Belton. 
    In addition to wrestling, he is also a high school football and track coach.
