The goal of the Special Olympics Dance Team is to foster a fun learning environment that produces passionate performers who through their commitment and enthusiasm reach a level of excellence in dance. Dance techniques that performers will explore and practice are Pom, Jazz, and Hip-Hop.Participants need to wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes to all practices.For performances, participants need to wear black athletic pants, tennis shoes, and a white undershirt. A team jersey will be provided.The SO Dance Team performs in the Belton community and sporting events such as Polar Plunge; SOMO Seasonal Games; and a variety of other SOMO events. One of your responsibilities is to make sure every athlete has a completed physical and consent form BEFORE they even step onto the practice space. This is a safety and liability issue and is SOMO policy.
