Students eligible for free/reduced lunch are also eligible for free/reduced breakfast. Families applying for the free/reduced meal benefit program may need to provide verification of income when the application is submitted to the District for approval. If you have any changes you need to make to your original application, or need to add a student, you may do so by calling Diane Huckshorn at 816-489-7007. You must fill out a new application (ONE PER FAMILY ONLY PLEASE) for each new school year unless you receive a letter from the District advising you otherwise. For elementary students (K-6), there is a charge limit of $15 per student. If this limit is reached, the district will provide a replacement sandwich and milk, without charge, for up to five days. For middle school students (7-8), students may charge up to $5, but no replacement meal is provided. When a charge is made, parents will receive a phone call. If the charge and/or replacement meal limit is reached, students must pay cash for all food from the cafeteria. There is NO charging allowed for grades 9-12.
